Hi Kelly I visited Whitefish and the Big Mountain ski resort back in 1998 when I lived in Arizona. I fell in love with your area. Back then it was a really down home resort and felt really cozy. I enjoyed reading your blog this past weekend. Glad to have discovered you, your blog and hearing about lovely Whitefish and the Big Mountain again.

Hi Terra! My JF experience truly was amazing and continues to be! The "4 Means to Get Your Greens" paradigm continues to serve me..I made green juice this morning and am sipping on a delicious green smoothie at the moment! My favorite soup I have made to date was: tomato, cilantro, lime, 1/2 avocado, garlic, kale, cayenne and a little Himalayan crystal salt-yum! The cilantro and lime are key! I don't heat them up at all, but I think you can a little if you do it slowly and of course, don't go over about 115 degrees. For me, this seems like a tricky game, and I'd rather be assured that I am maintaining the soups highest potential. You can add more cayenne and some ginger for that warming feeling and the act of blending it warms it up a bit. As for advice, keep your alert on for that tricky little mind of ours that may tell you...this is crazy, maybe I should do this a different time, I want to be social with my friend by eating, etc. Truly, my only challenges were mental! Luckily, it takes quite a routine to make your juices, clean up, dry brush, etc, so just make sure you get up early enough in the morning to get things done. I had a bit of mental struggle around Day 2-3, just wondering if I should be doing the JF then, maybe I should wait until the global Feast! I had another struggle around day 11-12, but then my routine was so set, it would have taken more energy to get out of my routine then to simply carry on, plus since I bought produce by the case, I had a lot of produce to juice yet! I would love to hear about your experience, if you are going to Juice Feast! Ten stars back at cha! KO
Hi Kelly-
Your juice feast experience sounds exciting! I am super curious as to what you use in your green soups and if you heat them at all.
Also, what would be your best advice for the juice feast? What got you through the first week or so?
Have a ten star day!!!
