I started my raw-food journey on August 14, 2007, and continue to work towards a raw-food lifestyle. I consider myself to be about 85-99% raw. I'm not an extremest, but do try hard to keep focused on my raw-food goals. I chose this direction for overall health, and well-being, as well as to lose weight, and slow down the aging process. So far I have been very pleased with the results. The best part is, it isn't as tough as I thought it would be. I say that, because I love all kinds of food, styles of eating, and all that goes with it. I have a S.A.D. family that I still cook for, but they too are slowly working towards a more "raw" way of eating. The other wonderful thing about becoming a "rawfoodist", is that I have met many wonderful, and inspirational individuals around the web on the various raw-food communities. It has made my journey a lot more fun, and fulfilling!

What kind of life shifts/transformations are you looking to have with Juice Feasting?
I consider myself already a part of a "modified" juice feast program, since my daily meals mainly consist of green and fruit smoothies, and green feast juices, along with my raw snacks and the occassional homemade gourmet meals. I find the liquid form of food to be much easier on the digestion, and more energizing. Plus it's easier for me to deal with while I'm working. I just drink my lunch, and snack throughout the day.
My juice goals would be to drink a larger quantity of green juices during the day, and to make it so that I have more variety in my juice meal plans. I have a tendancy to get stuck on the same "recipe" of juices and smoothies for weeks at a time, that I get bored, but then find it difficult to change. It may be from my OCD, but who knows!
The results I plan to gain from an increased intake of daily green juices is:
* Clear and younger skin (already friends, family and coworkers have been noticing how much nicer and clearer my skin has become)
* Lose the weight I've been carrying for soooooooooooo many years (so far I have lost around 26-28 pounds since I first went RAW - amazing!)
* To slow down the aging process and to feel more energized (it's definately happening! If I keep at this, I'll be feeling like a 20-year old by the time I'm 50)
* Heal my body from the inside out (little by little my chronic back problems, arthritis, and digestive problems are less and less. I don't know if they will every be 100% gone - since I am getting older, but it sure feels good not to be in pain everyday!)
* Have the added energy to focus on my art again, and my other websites (I truly miss not having the time or energy to take care of my own personal luvs and interests; I'm feeling very inspired again -- probably cause of the added physical energy!)
Well that's it for now! I wish us all great success! :)
