Merenge and Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse Birthday Pie

Banana Man making his birthday wish!

The spread.
Raw
Itallian: mini pizzas,
buschetta,
jalpeno pepper jack cheese,
cesar salad, zucchini noodles with pesto and with marinara, and raw
parmesan cheese. Most of these recipes were from the Cafe Gratitude Cookbook, one of the BEST raw cookbooks ever! It was
delish!
.
My friend A and I threw Banana Man the ultimate raw food SURPRISE birthday party! He was genuinely surprised and we had a blast! Everyone loved the food too!
.
Banana Man and I have been playing lots and lots of tennis. It is so much fun! It also gives us some great quality time together. I do need to get back to running, even if it's just 2 times per week. It a different workout from tennis and I think I need that variety. It's nice to have some alone time too :)
.
Ever since Banana Man's b-day I have been a little off kilter with 80/10/10. I'm telling ya, the spices just put you right back on the high-fat raw/cooked food train. It's weird. Really weired. I just never thought I could notice such a HUGE difference between 811 and the standard raw diet. Today we bought 9 large canary melons and everyone was commenting saying things like 'wow, those melons bust be good, look how many they are getting!' Haha, if they only knew. At work I think I am officially known as the Melon Girl. I have at least 1-2 everyday they are so delicious. I will be very sad when the season is over.
.
My skin was FREAKING out last week. I think I was going through some major detox. It was painful, I can't remember a time when my skin was that bad! Luckily I started using coconut oil on my face and consuming 1-2tsps per day and things cleared up very quickly so that's good. My skin is an ongoing issue though, so if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations I would love to hear them!
.
Oh, and I think I forgot to tell you, I am famous!
I was at Central Market devouring some humongous salads and fresh squeezed OJ with banana man and this woman approaches me and asked 'are you Linda?' I said yes, of course because that's my name, but I didn't recognize her face. She said she reads my blog and her name is Carmen. She was very sweet and it was very, very cool to randomly meet someone who reads my blog! If you're reading this Carmen, shoot me a message, I don't know how to contact you!
I found this while indulging in my favorite guilty pleasure; surfing a celebrity gossip website!
.The lovely Alicia Silverstone made an appearance at the premiere for “Tropic Thunder” yesterday, looking amazing and slim in a black dress. (Photos via SplashNews)
Like several other celebrities, Alicia stays fit and fabulous by consuming only raw vegan foods..
When In Style magazine asked a bunch of celebrities "What's the strangest thing in your fridge?" actress Alicia Silverstone said the following:
"Raw Balls. I like the name. They're made of dates, walnuts, almonds, carob and salt. They are so good."
Tiger Woods who is rehabbing his knee recently gave the dietary details of his program,
"I'm eating mostly raw and organic foods that provide the most nutrients."
Photos of a svelte over 40 Demi Moore have
generated a buzz around the country about a hot diet trend she adheres to - a raw food diet. Reportedly, Woody Harrelson, Sting, and Donna Karan are also devoted raw fans.
According to a new book, Elvis Presley himself tried to be a raw foodist! Here's an excerpt from: Elvis Presley's Own Story: If I Can Dream, by Larry Geller and Joel Spector with Patricia Romanowski, based on the secret diary kept by Larry Geller, Elvis' friend and confidant: One day in 1973, he [Elvis] asked, "What do you eat?"
As if he didn't know. My "bizarre" eating habits--I was a vegetarian then--were the subject of countless Memphis Mafia wisecracks. "Well," I said, "I eat as much raw food as I can, raw fruits and vegetables, and I don't eat meat."
After I had explained my approach to nutrition, he nodded. Later that night, as we were all sitting down to dinner at the Holmby Hills house in Los Angeles, he said,
"So that you all know what's happening around here, I'm changing my diet. Because the spiritual teachings say that you have to eat right, I'll be eating a lot of vegetables now, a lot of salads, and raw fruits. I'm telling the maids, and that's what they're going to make for me." Out went the brownies, the ice cream, the chicken-fried steak, the burgers. Elvis ate only fresh, nutritious, healthy foods--for two days. Then it was back to the same old nonsense...

I've been eating sooo much fruit! This is Banana Man with a pinapple, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, grape salad, yummm!
Close up

Banana Man with 2 HUGE Texas Watermelons!!
I've been running an average of 3 miles, 3-4 times per week. Banana Man just started giving me tennis lessons (he is a tennis coach) and today we went for a 15 mile bike ride. I like mixing up the exercise instead of just running all the time...
I've been loving the Olympics! I am so excited to see my friends on the US Diving Team! I trained with Troy for about 2 years and I hope he does great! Watch for him on 3meter, he's very VERY good!
811 has been going well. I had some seed cheese and flax crackers on Wednesday. Just a little...BUT I paid the price even for that little bit! The garlic, onion, and jalapenos gave me diarrhea and the most disgusting trashcan burps!! Lesson learned!
I just love fruit! It is so clean and beautiful. I get a much higher vibration from fruit and I love that!
My favorite fruits lately are mangoes, raspberries, and Canary melon. Oh Canary melon, I looooove you!
.
I passed another parasite in my stool today. I'm not sure what that's all about, I'm not on the parasite cleanse anymore... I am going to start wearing the
Zapper tonight. Hopefully it will help my skin which has been freaking out since I ended the juice feast. Hulda Clark says acne is due to parasites, we shall see!
Pure Bliss.
Mangoes are sooooooo good right now!
and berries are soooo good. Oh my goodness, heaven in a bowl!
I have never eaten so many melons in my life!
This is an heirloom cantaloupe, delish!
My birthday night with my fabulous friends!

I was really tired today. I've been having trouble falling asleep, like I have so much energy and so much going on in my head. If I focus on my breathing I can usually snap out of it and fall asleep quickly...
There's a lot going on but I'm not sure how to articulate it.
I'm reading Infinite Mind by Valerie Hunt and it is blowing my mind in the most amazing ways possible!

Another picture from the ranch thanks to my lovely cousin Sarah.
