CHAMPIONSHIP MESS

RIDICULOUS DISASTER! (see RAWFOOD RATIONAL for hyperlinks)

Arrrrgh, today was tough. Technically. I really lacked in getting all juice feasting steps done. What's gotta change? GET RID OF MY CHAMPION. No good for ANY greens. OK for apples and carrots, beets etc. I spent, like, 2 1/2 to 3 hours just juicing ONE SERVING of green juice today (from washing veg-to juicing-to clean up). You will see what I juiced below; all fibrous greens. The Champion creates LOADS OF FOAM, it gets slow when challenged with this tough cellulose and I had to stop and clean the teeth 3 times in making my juice...to take the whole juicer apart and pull off all the long tough strands that were CLOGGING IT UP. It gets really HOT. The all green juice comes out slightly warm. The foam I HAD TO STRAIN from the working juice twice and from the finished juiced two more times. The fibers getting all backed up make it hard to PLUNGE the veggies down and when I was finished my back actually hurt.
SO, I actually just got to make one liter. Then I went to BEVERLY HILLS JUICE CLUB and got their expensive green mixed juice to get enough in today.

REGRETTING THE JUICE FEAST - REALLY BAD :(

Finished 64 days of the feast. ~My psoriasis got really bad and 4 months later has not returned to the better state it was in BEFORE the feast. It is very painful. ~I learned that I can not at all eat the way I used to and have ballooned 15 lbs more than I was BEFORE the juice feast. I eat strictly raw vegan and have for almost 6 years - no gourmet raw, 1 meal of greens + fat and a fruit meal a day. NOW IM HUGE! OBESE! My metabolism could not adjust back to decent at 38 yrs old I guess? What a… Continue

DAY 7 - I MADE A GROSS JUICE :-(

EEEEEWWWW, bleck, agghhhgh. I made a BIG GIANT SERVING OF MISTAKE. Don't yell at me, I know. (Ok, Steph, you can yell at me). Red radish and grapefruit and greens. I'm sorry, did you just puke a little? My little hippy market I go to had no lemons, so yesterday my friend… Continue

Hey I'm never on here. Do you have facebook?

I've been ayurveda-ing still. I found out the JF really screwed up my Vata (air). So it's been going good; I've been doing weird things with my guru (eating ashes, etc!) The Psor is getting better; almost all gone on the tummy, but still on the legs, sides and back. But getting better. If you have facebook, I'm under "Ben Rene". :) Hugs!!!

hi mish - i re-integrated some cooked foods (whole grains and beans), and this made me feel more balanced...also, i had developed eczema during the feast, and this had cleared once i stopped...and trying to eat five times a day at the same time each day...and using e3 live...all of these things, i feel, have helped to re-balance my body...good luck, sister! i feel that it's important not to diet (limit calories) because this slows down your metabolism and in the long run this will make it more challenging to return to your natural weight. it never feels good to be out of sync with your body...i understand! much love - rae

Aww thanks! ^^
I had to look up Julie Verhoeven actually ;P I am so oblivious of what goes around me sometimes, and I'm not so familiar with fashion, I'm more in the digital illustration field.
I've actually spent my recent free time revamping the site and will change it to go more into an artsy direction rather than ending up as a stockillustrator hahaha I had planned to do some art about juice feasting! But, juicing takes all my time...

Yeah, I find it better to stay away from bee pollen. I think I should be drinking and not eating. Adding pollen to juice would be a different thing. I think it's better not to take it straight. Not while juicing anyway.

I don't seem to have this problem with the green leaves. Are you using the fine screen? Yeah the top can pop off. Make sure it's clipped in pretty good. If it comes off really easily, you may want to replace it.

Did you go to Euphoria for the meet up tonight? I had to work.

Hey mish! Hmmm....maybe not a good idea for the RAW dish photos, just wanted to show the true beauty of nutritonal raw food. My next mission- make juice look just as appetising. Will take my champion juicer down to the beach and take some photo's:) Wish you well on your feasting
