True confessions time.
I love the idea of juicing for an extended period of time and am gung ho about it but am having not only physical troubles (packing, shopping, equipment requirements etc) with juicing while on the road, but am having even more impactful obstacles in the form of a family who wants to eat out, and one of which is not endorsing my decision to juice exclusively.
In the emotional state of despair and frustration I resort to my raw foods and at times, not so raw foods – althou…

One thing I would recommend to others is preparation. As a raw foodist I have understood the need to need to keep raw foods on hand, which, trust me, I have stashed is all areas of my life (car, office, home, gym bags - you name it), But keeping live juice on hand is a bit of a different story all together.
I made celery/cucumber this morning, took along carrot/mango (oh my God - so delicious!), bought some 100% juice from Wholefoods b/c I had run out of fruits and veggies. Had to only get a fe…

Well, day one was awesome but I did have a raw crunch bar and some fruit. I felt a bit loopy toward the end of my work day and in speaking with a client over the phone began to lose thoughts and feel strange. Listening to my body I ate a little bit and drank the remainder of the veggie juice I had brought to work. The rest of the day went well. Overall I think I pee'd at least 20 times. ; )
This is now day two and I realize I need to go get more veggies and fruits after lunch. I enjoyed my cucu…

Ok here I go.
I had all my routine favorite raw dishes today in preparation for the juice feast.
I have stocked my frig full of veggies and fruits, have begun soaking my first supply of nuts.
Created a Houston Juice Feasters group in hopes there are a few other feasters about that can lend support and humor through this three month journey.
Most people I have talked to think I am a bit strange for partaking in such as endeavor, but it is not unusual for me to be unusual.
Thank you to every one…

You asked how long I have been a raw food chef - answer is - I was introduced to the raw food lifestyle last July and after understanding and personally experiencing all the benefits, enrolled in Alissa Cohen's Levels 1,2, and 3 programs. I completed the training in January and have been teaching and giving demonstrations since. I love this stuff! The harder challenge for me is working this into my prior to raw lifestyle with my family - all of which like some of the recipes, most of them actually, but are not raw foodists or have any long term interest in becoming raw. I think the 92 juice fast will help me on my personal journey and will strengthen my foundation to stay raw.
As far as the newsletter - go to www.tinamarie.com to subscribe or www.ohchealth.com. I also have blog for my practice located at www.tinamarieblog.com that I post regular info to including info from my weekly radio show. Keep in touch! - Tina Marie
Thanx and best of luck. If you have any more questions about raw - just ask and if I have questions about the juice feast - I will ping you. I have not yet begun. Just found the site two days ago.
I travel a ton and have had to take my food with me as well as personal sized equipment. Had to explain to security what a personal blender does. - That was funny. I think he wants to go raw now. Juicing 100% while on the road seems like scary thought but I am sure I will overcome any obstacles.
Did you get the book? Is it helpful? What else would you suggest to keep me on the feast for the 92 days?
Cheers, Tina Marie
Thanks for your ideas :) You glow!! :)
