Profile Information

About Me:
I am a housewife from Olympia, Washington, married and mother to three grown children. I lead a pretty quiet life, enjoying my home, my husband and kids, good food and books. I recently started a business called Simply Raw Bliss to try and help teach others how to get going with the raw foods lifestyle, and find that I am learning new things myself every day!
Location
Olympia, Washington
What kind of life shifts/transformations are you looking to have with Juice Feasting?
I am hoping to get more energy, clarity and have an easier time staying raw once I am done. More emotional stability and spiritual insight would be the icing on the proverbial cake! I want to grow and learn in all areas; physically, emotionally and spiritually. Of course, juice feasting can't do that for me, I have to do those things myself, but I am sure that it will be one heckuva tool to help me in my efforts!

Married

Dropping in for a visit

Since I am only managing to juice feast one day a week right now, which happens to be Saturday, I decided to drop by and visit today and see how all the JF'ers around the world are coming along. Apparently, quite well! Spectacularly well! Who doesn't absolutely love the videos? I also really like that 'Merkabah' video....it's just....cosmic, man. Today's menu is coconut water with spirulina, green juice with hemp oil, and pineapple/citrus with E3Live. The day ends with a green smoothie and then… Continue

Day 6 and 7 Revisited

I actually did a one week trial run of Juice Feasting earlier in February, but my Day 6 and 7 posts just simply would not publish no matter what I did, so I pretty much just gave up trying. But the one weeker was a huge success and since the big kickoff is tomorrow morning, I have every intention of getting in on it! I just won't be doing the full 92 days in a row. I am aiming for one day a week and longer (as desired) at the change of seasons. See you all tomorrow, green juice in hand! Is anyon… Continue

Day 4 and 5

It really is true that after the third day.....it gets easier!
Yesterday I got to experience being gone all day and sticking with it. Everything worked just fine. I drank a quart on the way to church, and brought a quart with me. Then I just drank a few pints of water to tide me over till I got home and could juice some more. Even at the potluck everyone was chowing down and one of the gals asked me if I was going to eat. I just lifted up my juice and said "No, today I think I'll just stick… Continue

Day 3

I woke up this morning, after a restless night, thinking "What the heck have I gotten myself into?"
I am sure I will think it again many more times before I am through!
I weighed myself this morning, which was kind of a shock. I forgot to get a beginning weight, but I don't think there's much difference in only three days! I weighed 141 pounds. I had no idea. I mean, I truly thought that I weighed about 155, more or less, because I don't pay any attention to my weight anymore. I just foc… Continue

Day 2 and cruising right along

Now I'm getting into the swing of things! I did have a hard time sleeping last night since I was kind of hungry, and this morning I awoke with a slight headache. The headache was caffeine withdrawals and I am going to go out on a limb here (get out of the way, Shirley) and be so bold as to explain that before I started this I was trying to slowly decaffeinate myself but still had a long way to go. I don't know if I can manage to go cold turkey with the morning coffee, since past experience has s… Continue
