About Me:: I'm Tracy, a 40-something homeschooling mom, embarking on my first ever Juice Feast on August 23, 2008. My goal is 92 days, and so far, so good. My husband is on a modified juice feast (he drinks all the juice, and modifies the feast with pizza every few days).

Since most of the people I've told about the JF give me a blank stare or raised eyebrows, I won't have a lot of support outside of my husband. I'm hoping to find it here, and am also looking forward to helping others along the way, if I can.

What kind of life shifts/transformations are you looking to have with Juice Feasting?: I've been too sedentary for too long (not good for trying to keep up with a four year old cutie), and have steadily packed on pounds over the last decade. I want to regain energy, shed excess weight, and work towards becoming a more vital, more "alive" person.

I'm looking to do something (what, exactly, I don't know!) with some unresolved anger, resentment and bitterness that are eating me up, and preventing me from moving on to life's next level. I am really hopeful that the Juice Feast helps me to realize how to work through some of that.

Interests (Beyond Nutrition): Travel is one of my greatest loves, especially foreign travel. I love to prepare food artfully. I love to read, and need to make more time for it. I enjoy researching natural/alternative health and nutrition issues. Fine dining is at the top of the list, especially at establishments offering organic/vegetarian, etc., though those places are extremely scarce where I live. I love to sprout all sorts of seeds, nuts and micro-greens. Spending time with my tremendously close-knit family is my greatest love.

Favorite Books: Too many to mention...offhand, The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay (sounds like a self-help book, but it's a novel that was butchered by movie-makers); most anything by Maeve Binchy

It's so weird you wrote me back tonight because I had just made a decision to juice the rest of this week. I don't want to commit to more then that for right now. I have been totally raw for 18 days now and the more I do this the more I feel that a juice feast is important. So wish me luck tomorrow I have yet to make it through a successful day of juice feasting so I will need it. I'm not sure why I have done the Master cleanse several times but this seems harder. Do you make all your juice at once in the morning for the whole day?

Long time no talk to. ;) I read your blog and WOW you are still at it.... AWESOME!!!!! That's so great. I have been 100% raw now for the last 2 weeks and feeling wonderful and decided to give the juice feast another chance now that my head is clearer and more into it. Do you drink fruit juices or just veggies?

Sorry I am just now answering your comment. I haven't been juicing but have been doing well eating raw. I have lost 8lbs in a week and a half. I have 20 more to go. I do think I am going to juice for a few days to get myself even more motivated to stay raw. I am following Natalia Rose raw food detox diet and eating raw till dinner and some days eating raw all day. You are doing so amazing. Can't believe you have gone as long as you have. How great!!! You must be so proud of yourself? How are you feeling? Do you have a lot of energy?

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I am so happy to have made it through the first day and can't wait until I have as many days behind me as you have. You are doing so Awesome! Congratulations! How many days are you going for?Do you feel good? Thinner? Do you exercise at all during juicing?
