A day from heck...

...and you know what? it had absolutely nothing to do with the juice feast! If anything, the fact that i'm juicing has helped me to maintain a little more levelheaded-ness while having to deal with all this... ...dealing with emotional upset while full of food is not a good experience. first, I had this horrible work situation where my sense of right and wrong wouldn't let me just keep quiet... as usual. i get tired of having to do that, but i couldn't live with myself if I didn't... That reall… Continue

happy day 46!!

...and it really has been a really nice day... i was able to work out again for the first time in about 2 weeks, I was nursing a back injury from picking up a kid at work... I have probably been cruising on the endorphin hit all day. But unlike my typical somewhat bipolar nature, this has been remarkably smooth, even and clear headed... my thinking has been way clearer. I used to drink a lot... one time when I was really depressed over the winter holidays, I sat in a chair in front of the tube… Continue

Water tastes like ambrosia...

...and herb tea with agave nectar tastes like poop. Fast food places smell completely bizarre, even when driving by with the window cracked a little... little kids (that I work with ) smell like over-ripe sneakers. I currently have little interest in anything except actual dark leafy greens, oranges, and most especially grapefruit... grapefruits smell amazing. Yesterday I made a pepperoni pizza with 2 special education students I work with, which I totally enjoyed doing, smelling, and watching… Continue

Good to hear from you. How long did you go? I am on day 84.. would like to go to 108.. we will see. That is great about the change you are having with food. I have lots of issues with food that seem to be healing. My goal is to go to a modified diet,. I have lost 40 lbs... I have about 40 more to go... or shall I say about 40 more lbs. of detoxing to do. I would like to feast 155 days, that would take me back before birth, which would be pretty cool. do not know if it is in the cards for me. One day at a time. The timing right to do a longer one. Have a GREAT vacation asnd enjoy your nre raw book!!!!!!

Hi Brock, thanks so much for your comment on my blog post Free at Last. It IS very interesting to see how what we are doing is affecting the other people around us.

It's been a rough day emotionally and your support and kind words made a big difference. Thank you!

Hi Brock, thanks for your comment on my blog. Yes I have tried a neti pot I used to have one back home in DC, I think I will order one today, thanks for reminding me :) My allergies disappeared last year when I switched to living foods and now suddenly yesterday they came back that's why I thought it may be detox related. As for the enemas, I know I know I just have some fear and trepidation about them. I gotta get over it! Have a great weekend. I read and enjoyed your update Happy Day 46, I read it last night. Take care xo Dea

Brock, thanks for the tips. You're right on all counts! As a matter of fact, I just got the Boutenko book, Fresh! and have been perusing it. It's a good one! Anyway, my mind is opening to all the healthy possibilities again. I think my pity party is over, lol! (Though I reserve the right to a reprise!)

Thanks so much for your support! It helps a lot.

Yea, Brock! Even though they're children's books, I still have to claim them as my fav's. I was so affected by AWIT as a thirteen-year-old, and thirty years later, I still love it! Glad I'm not the only one. :-)

I also loved I Heart Huckabees. I'll have to add it to my list...
