So I made the orange ,lemon , grapefruit concoction. I used a nut milk bag and the consistency seemed normal . The next day it was a think gelatin mess and I had to throw it away. The same think happened with the strawberry kiwi.
that's kind of crazy, but something similar happened to me... I usually make pretty simple 2-4 ingredient juices, but I made one that was a little more complex.... I drink most of my juices fresh right away except for lunch, and this one I also drank right away, but when I strained it, I noticed a huge blob of jelly in the strainer, which was pretty freaky!! Actually, raw food jello... hmm... maybe your on to something! Did you taste it?
Ohh i got a taste alright . I didn't notice that it was thick until I woke up and went to the fridge for my morning chug . The taste was almost the same but it was sooo thick I didnt think it would be allowed during the fast.If only I had stumbled upon this during the days I went raw before the fast.

Blueberry is famous for congealing. My favorite raw recipe is a blueberry and bananna pie. When you blend the 2 ingredients and let sit in the fridge for an hour it thickens and makes an AMAZING pie/dessert.
Well, so glad you posted this as this happened to me today. I usually juice all my citrus on a small citrus juicer but thought I would try the vitamix today. Blended and strained (in nut mylk bag) oranges, strawberries, soaked goji berries. No water added to blender, just the fruit. Started to set almost immediately after I made it, even out of fridge. I added some ice and shook it up good and it was like a thin green smoothie. Tasted GREAT, but I too wonder if this qualifies as "juice" for the sake of a juice feast. Anyone have an idea? Thanks
Orange Goji juice is good for turning to "jello." I've been adding a bit more of the goji soak water to the mix and even though it still sets, a couple quick shakes usually sets it straight.
