Hi My name is Dea I am a first generation American my dad and mom are from Somalia and Yemen.
I grew up in Washington DC and Rome. Somalia used to be a beautiful place, we vacationed there when I was a kid. Now its torn up. Unfortunately I am sort of cut off from the somali community as there are very few somalis here in Sicily where I currently live.
With this Juice Feast I hope to through meditation, prayer and energy to shower positive light energy and blessings on my country of origin and its long suffering people.
Nabadgilyo - that means bye or good be with you in somali..tell me something of yourselves, your ties and feelings relating to Africa if you like...
Welcome to the African Juice Feasters' Group! And to Day 1 of the Global Juice Feast!
I was born and raised in South Africa and still live here. My journey is about healing my body, losing weight and getting fertile. Today is Day 30 of my Juice Feast (I didn't know about the GJF when I started) and I'm learning to let go of so many of my deep seated emotional issues. Juice feasting has brought me so much more than I anticipated so far and I feel myself aligning to a deeper purpose for my life. This is really a watershed moment in time for me, and one that will hopefully enable me to help other people realize their potential.
It is so nice to have more people from Africa on this juice feast!
Hi Dea and welcome to the African group! I am also from South Africa, and juice feasting for health, clarity and becoming more of me. Wow, how I love the idea of showering positive energy and light on your country through the joys juice feasting brings, even from afar.
It is going to be an amazing journey discovering what light will not only flow into our lives through this experience, but out again, blessing others as well.
