Hi my name is Ali I live in ACT in Australia, and am new here, hope to find some education, inspiration and support here. And to be able to give some as well :)
I've just started my juice feasting. I starting on Wednesday this week, but joined here last night. Looking forward to the journey.
Hi Ali!!! I'm Jennifer!!! I just started my juice feast on Thursday so I'm one day behind you. How are you doing so far???? This is the first feast for me in my life, how about you???
I am totally new to this.... how about you??? Have you ever done a juice feast before??? This is my first. I'm loving it so far and incredibly I havent had one temptation around food. My friends and family have been eating all the cooked food around me that I once loved (burritos - beans I especially love, tacos, chinese food, pizza) and I have not once felt a craving. They have asked me "is this hard for you to be around when we're eating" and I honestly could say "No, it's fine". How nice to say that and believe it. Being raw I still somtimes have a hard time being around those foods that I love but with juicing I dont. I hope that doesnt kick in at some point. Also, I realized yesterday I started getting hungry and I just took a tablespoon of flax and the hunger was gone immediately. I also have been able to exercise normally with no feeling of tiredness al all. How about you.... how is your adventure so far?
I am totally new to this as well Jen. And I'll also be new to raw food after completing this Juice feast as well!! I am very much looking forward to that :)
I am totally enjoying this juice journey so far as well!! Hasn't been a problem to me yet, other than a few headaches some discharge from my nose and ears and a very furry tounge!! which from what I read is all good!!!
I also hope it continues like this along the way.I'll keep in mind about having a bit of good fat if hungry, actually I had a spoon of virgin coconut oil earlier and actually when I think about it it helped with a little hunger I was feeling.
How long have you eaten raw food?
I went back to exercise today after a break, and so far so good! :)
Hi Ali!!! You will love eating raw when you're done.... I started learning about it last year around October and started at about 50% at that time. Then slowly but surely worked my way up to almost 100% but I dont really say 100% because there are times when I indulge in cooked things here and there. My biggest indulgence is a bean burrito of all things. Ha ha!!
Today is day 12 for me and things are good. I'm not hungry but have been dealing with emotional issues with other people eating around me. Has been difficult but this group REALLY helps when I need that support. I feel bad for reaching out sometimes because I feel like I'm being a baby but everyone has been very supportive.
I wish you good luck and if you ever need words of support or inspiration please feel free to give me a shout and I will feed you with much needed positive affirmations!!!
Take care!!!
Jennifer
Hi Ali, so great to see another Aussie juice feasting! I am from Sydney but currently live in the USA. Keep in touch with how you are going juice feasting into the winter, I would love to hear how you are going and what it is like in regards to getting all of your supplements etc over there. I am going to be back there for a brief visit on Wednesday and I am very excited to still be juicing the whole time!
