As I was reading a blog that I found thanks to your help, the writer mentioned her juice congealing, it reminds me of a weird thing with my juice this morning. I was juicing the greens (spring mix, spinach, alfalfa sprouts, and parsley) in an omega juicer through a screen. When I poured it in my quart jar, there were congealed cubes in it. I thought that was very strange. What kind of chemical reaction could that be? I didn't see anything in any of my readings about this.
i use a green star juicer and have found that parsley seems to clump up after it's been pushed through the screen, especially if i do a bunch of parsley all at the same time. the clumps are very soft and easily "dissolve" if i try to strain or push through a nut milk bag.
i find that alternating pieces of parsley with celery or something a bit harder works better (although with the combo you listed that might not work). i prefer not to blend my juices so if i still find chunky bits after juicing, i give it a really vigorous whisk!
Sometimes I get congealed bits with orange. It's not something I worry about because it desolves so easily.
Look at your tongue. If it was coated before you drank the juice and still coated sometime after, you are still cleansing and anything that you drank has not interfered.
Wow. Thanks, Mark, for that indicator. It's great to have a way to identify whether the cleansing is still happening or not.
On my blog, I'd mentioned blueberry juice congealing, but in my case at least, it doesn't seem to have had any negative effects -- and it was quite tasty!
