Day 63
It's day 63. Since childhood, when we had to study our equations, 63 was one of my favourite numbers/equations (7 times 9). Other faves are 35 (and the equation 7x5), the number 27, the number 23 (my birthdate), the number 9 and 3. Why I am writing this, I don't know.
Yesterday, speaking of equations, was the most bizarre day in "shopping for produce" life. I had an obscenely full shopping cart and was hauling it towards my favourite cash register lady. But a young n00b waved my to his register, not knowing the pain I was going to put him through.
Because it's a bit tricky. The stuff on sale is 1cent/1lbs, limit 20 lbs. Over 20 lbs, it's 99 cents for 5lbs.
Other stuff is double the price after you exceed 30lbs. Anyways, my cart was bending with all those watermelons and grapefruit. In fact, it took two young men to unload it, bag it (my own bags were not enough) and then load it back, so I ended up with two carts.
The dude at the cash register had to call for help because he was bamboozled by my selection and its pricing. I also had a $10 off coupon and my customer value card which was to be considered.
It was a big commotion and lots of laughter. I know they're teasing me but I laugh along. Two people asked me what I'm doing with all this napa cabbage. They are always very astonished when I say "juice!"
So yeah...I'll be having more of that napa/grapefruit juice it seems like.
BUT I steered clear of parsley, today I used up my leftover and just guzzled it down, never to look back.
