Wow! I'm done! Finished! But I also feel like my journey has just begun. I reached day 89 and found that I couldn't stop thinking about food and I felt hungry all the tme. Listen to your body right?!? So I decided not to feel defeated by missing the ultimate goal by 2 days! Still, I hadn't shopped for my prunes yet so I hung in there until the next day when I could break the fast properly. I was also having a little anxiety about the prunes as I have never had any before. I'm happy to report that they were quite delightful, tasted just like big raisins!
So there was alot of knocking around in the old intestines. No distress but very loud! I woke up with a funny taste in my mouth this morning though.
So here are my stats:
Began Feb 7, 2008
Weight 165lbs
Height 5'9"
Broke fast May 9, 2008
Weight 127lbs
Overall it was great but I don't plan on doing it again. Only because I plan to maintain this new healthy body that I have given myself. The weather is turning to spring and we hopefully won't have anymore snow. I feel so good I'm even thinking of taking up running. If not I will try to schedule a walk most days. I've never been able to run as my connective tissue isn't that great but with the cellular repair that I've undergone and 30 less pounds on my frame I'm going to give it a whirl. One thing my hubby and I both noticed was I lost alot of strength. I used to be able to do anything around the house but in the last while I have found myself needing to wait until he got home to help be with large things like hoisting the huge water bottle up onto the cooler.
So here I stand on the thresh hold of a new chapter of my life and I am committed to continue with good health and vibrant living foods.
