Summer Juice Feasters

Are you a Summer Juice Feaster? The produce is perfect right now! Local organic is readily available! Things are greening, plumping, and ripening up. The Hot/Cool Shower (Contrast Shower) and working up sweats for cleansing is easier in summer!

Hello everyone I just started the juice feast and today is day 4. I am so excited to be doing this. I am having a difficult time getting more than 3 quarts down a day, maybe it is my combination choices. If you have some great juices will you let me know what the combos are. Thanks

Hi All ! convien
I'm also very excited to see so many people feasting this summer. It's very encouraging. I started on July 12th, so today is day 5. I don't have the insane amount of energy I eventually get on juicing fasts, but I already find that I have no interest in food, which is a huge blessing, especially since I still cook and prepare foods for my family. I'm planning on doing a 92 day cleanse. My longest to date has been 40, and I am thrilled to be attempting a longer more challenging one. As for spirulina, we have never made friends except in powered green drinks that also contain grasses. My Baby on the other hand loves it plain in water , ewww, and will take it over milk any day! The tastiest powdered greens I have found over the last 12 years or so are Superfuel Tropical by Empirical Labs that I get at my office,( I think that might be distributed only by health care providers, like a N.D.), and a new product by Trace Minerals called Greens Pak To Go, so yummy and sweet and comes in very handy little packets. Both contain about 1500 mg of spirulina. This is great for others like me who have blood sugar issues an can't mix it with fruit juice.
Anyway..grateful to have found this site and look foward to getting to know everyone throughout this journey we are on!

Hello everyone!

We're so glad to see so many of you feasting in the summer! (-: We initiated a Community Juice Feast in our community on Orcas Island, WA. There are about 10-12 of us thus far. More are joining us later. What fun!

Our JFeast starts this friday (July 11th). We are looking forward to sharing our journey with all of you. (-:

Keep up the great work everyone and happy juicing!

In Love and Light,
Jess & Bry

Hi Y'all ... thought I'd pop in to say hi. Welcome to Aussie Feaster ... glad to have you with us. 52 days is an awesome accomplishment! I'll look forward to reading your new blog.

I "juice" all of my soft fruits in the Vitamix and then strain. So much less clean up. I just add a bit of water to get them going, even for the watermelon. I strain both my blended juices and my juiced juices through the paint strainers ... they taste better that way to me.

I buy those 5 gallon size paint strainers ... so cheap (about $4 for a pack of 2), and so you always have clean ones on hand. I laundry them with dish towels and they come out great, and last about a month or so.

Hi everyone, I just started again today! I completed 52 days, but then broke the feast badly, so now I am going to get back on track by feasting again for at least 14 days.
Great to see so many people are still feasting!

I find my Breville Juice Fountain Compact not so good with leafy greens like spinach. So far mine is okay with "wet" fruits like pineapple, tomatoes, etc. I'm thinking mylk bags are the way to go for some things but my blender is one of those cheap ones from Target lol. I think a few people use paint strainers from Lowes or pantyhose (Kait said she was getting some for her juicing) instead of the nut mylk bags.

Some time ago I bought some spirulina which is compressed into tablets. I've been taking these just to finish them up. I wonder if the quality is as good as loose powder. Kira.. your suggestion for adding powder to OJ sounds great! I also love the concept of sipping juice while walking on the beach. Too bad I'm not near the ocean but it's a nice visual.

Something else I wanted to ask about..I have a lot of left over Greens+multi powder. The unflavored kind. I'm thinking I would like to use this up before I go buying new supplements. I think its very similar to vitamineral green.

Even though I have a juicer, today I ordered some nut milk bags as I find the Solostar is not so good with soft things like watermelon, strawberries and tomato. Anyone else have this issue?

Oh I am so thrilled to see all you summer juicers here! I started yesterday, June 10. Bit later than I had planned but that stuff happens. Definitely produce is more interesting this time. I found some awesome organic dandelion and lots of kale and other greens. Some fruits were way too high priced but I don't mind non-organic for things like watermelon and oranges. Things have really greened up and warmed up here and today I'm thinking I might even enjoy this summer juice feasting!
Today was a rough day physically but I was ok with it. I know there will be a few of these. For 2 days I have had major back pain and muscle spasms. Not sure what that is about but it could be from something before.
Did I mention how encouraged I am to see so many others here summer juicing???? I love it!!
