Modified Juice Feasters

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I. David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life. You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.

I just started my first juice feast 14 days ago with the goal of 92 days. This is sooo hard. I have considered a modified version but Im not giving up yet. My weight has been dropping a little fast. I didn't have much to work with in the first place. LOL. No matter what type of feast you choose support seems to be key.

Comment by Claudia Olivos on December 2, 2009 at 3:04pm Delete Comment Hello everyone! I am so glad to have found this forum as this is my third day drinking only juice until the evening. The first day, I was all set out to do a full juice fast, but in the evening, ended up eating a MUCH larger than normal raw salad, with way too much sprouted bread, nuts and seeds. I knew I was not ready to go fully into the juice fast.
Instead, I decided that I would juice all day long until dinner time. I am not certain for l how long I will do this.

I am concerned about my metabolism slowing down...any thoughts on this anyone?

ps: Dinner is raw vegan.

Okay, back on full-fledge with JF...so today's my 5th day...yesterday was the easiest...getting used to all the prep and routine...just had one minor headache at the close of evening...but all in all...smooth going! Tons of energy...although seeing my hubby eating/chewing taunted me...LOL...so I had to get me some bee pollen to chew a bit on...that helped! I'm still proud that after 4 days of juicing, albeit that one day on the 10th where I had some rawfood from my friend's cafe opening, it's been a fantastic beginning!
Going to do a colonic tomorrow...my first actually! Been reading about liver cleanse too...by Andreas Moritz...anyone want to share if they've done that and how it's worked out?

Yeah, I found at the end of day 2 I simply had to add in some salad after being out and about shopping with a friend (who, incidently felt funny that I was carrying my 3 mason jars of green juices & fruit juices with me..haaa) and had a headache... (and a bite of mint raw cacao from Elements For Life- ooopss...got rid of headache pronto!)

I, too, figure I'll ease into it the first few days since I'm going to a dear friend's rawfood cafe opening and feel my body is speaking "ok, transition peacefully and comfortably" as you begin the journey...and I have to try her treats so why torture myself...LOL...and will do as JS pointed out in his blog...also wanted to just cleanse out from the holidays and in true preparation for the March 92-day JF which will be the true test of my long-term juicing...so this will be an experimental pre-cursor process ultimatley for March....so I'm being kind to myself, listening to what my body truly desires and keeping it pointed in the right direction...juicing foremost and supplementing with some raw & superfoods for a few days, then into full juicing ASAP in a couple more days...going to start journaling it to keep me honest! So giving myself a few days to acclimate and take it from there

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to find this group. I felt a little out of place and weak for not committing to a full juice feast instead of seeing the positive and being excited and happy for the good that I've committed to do! I plan to have an occasional salad during the day and also a drink in the morning and evening from solar nutrition but other than that I plan to have mostly juices. I will modify it as I go along if need be, I'm learning to listen to my body and what it needs. Good luck to everyone in their modified feast! Trina

Thanks for coming up with this group. Its made juice feasting possible for me in a way that is right for my body at this point in time. Im easing into the concept of a space inbetween the all or nothing spectrum of a detox and finding my own way now. Great to read others experiences. Blessing, hugs, love x

I am a modified juice feaster and I try to stay mostly with the juices/smoothies throughout the day, occasionally salad (one during the day) or fruits if I feel the urge to have something solid. In addition to the green juice/smoothies, I also add vitamineral green, spirulina and bee pollen. I also take some Ayurvedic herbs to promote and support proper metabolic function, detoxification and rejuvenation. And. . . that's about it for now.
Welcome you all to this beautiful and challenging journey!
