I'm just wondering if you'll be back from maternity-- oops I mean paternity leave by March 7 and if not do you have an experienced friend who would be willing to sub for you? I sure hate to try to make this modern hero's journey and then mess it all up by not doing the regimen properly. Still don't understand what you are doing with all that oil vs. people saying you need to rest the digestion to detox, etc.... Ack, Help. Sorry if I'm too into the details but I feel I'm still doing life or death here. I need to make this one count. Thanks....
I am certainly no David Rain substitute, nor will I try to be....just wanted to say hi....and you say life or death...are you trying to heal from disease? I have called and spoken to John Rose who is listed as a consultant on the juice feasting website and he was very nice...and willing to answer some questions without charging. His phone number is listed with the info about him over there.....so if the Rainoshek's are out for a while, he might be a good substitute. I started a 112 day juice feast 7 days ago....not to heal from disease, but to become a healthy vibrant raw goddess and to achieve my ideal weight (only need to lose 25-30 pounds to do so....)...I juice feasted previously for 17 days, and was doing great....and then quit for no good reason.....this time I am determined to stick with it. Am planning how best to do it. Also could use some advice but not sure if I will pursue that anytime soon.....might get Angela Stokes book on Juice Feasting....it's an ebook so you could get it right away...she lost 165 pounds doing a raw diet and has juice feasted 92 days and is hooked in....
Thanks. Did you put oil in your juices? I did get the stokes book. I need to go read it again because I'm very tired and confused. I don't remember seeing oil in the recipes. Maybe the hemp oil is being shown as a product for the later stages? I want to make the detox count so I don't know if I should go without the oil until later...
Yes, sick long time with chronic things but the nail in the coffin was the antibiotic induced diarrhea which wore me out after 4 years of that. Let's not forget the tapeworms, etc etc. Saved my life last year with juicing and worm killing but by now - hitting menopause- my adrenals and thyroid are very tired indeed and so am I. I have no idea how long I will be able to juicefeast but I am going to try. I am already pretty underweight albeit with plenty of fat but probably way less bones and muscle than when I was a skinny teenager and weighed more. I've been drinking green smoothies for months.
Hi :-) A serving of hemp oil per day will provide you with your essential omega's. I also spoke with John Rose and he is "the man" behind all this juice feasting. He told me to take that. I also read it here. You can do Hemp and coconut oil. They both have their own benefits. Your body is going to need some fat each day and the oil will be the source of that fat.
Just wanted to add in that a whole lot of Global Juice Feasters from last year, kept blogs, and in the case of us in Victoria, BC who did it, we documented weekly by video doing a check in and revelations of what we found worked - what not so -- all the videos were posted on juicefeasting.com...before it changed to this format - I know some are up...check out Ayrie's page - likely they're all there -- and read the blogs! I'm with Grace on this. Things seem to be very vague after listing all the necessities for this feast. I am done with menopause but am tired too, Grace. I am a product of the 60's & 70's so blew out my adrenals a long time ago! Have been about 90% raw for almost 10 years, but want to take this all to the next level.
Am looking forward to any and all answers I can get from these lists.
I had adrenal exhaustion years ago.....along with depleted B vits....what really helped me was literally eating lots of brewer's yeast (before they ruined it...debittered is awful tasting to me) I ate brewer's yeast mixed with water by the spoonful every day for quite a while....that and lots of Vit C...nothing special just grocery store Vit C....and lots of fresh veggies and veggie soups and alkaline broth...and time. Time and relation and exercise are the key to getting your battery/energy back. I had it very severely.....had no social life, had to quit working, dropped out of school, stayed at home.....talking on the phone at 9pm at night was literally painful as it took energy I did not have, even lying on the floor! So I know all about adrenal exhaustion.
As for the oils,,,I am with the camp that says you need them. Hemp oil is nice.....just add it to your juices. It's good and good for you. I am also doing some E3 Live BrainOn Freeze dried flakes (found them more effective than the frozen liquid.) I would take that also if I were you...and a good B Vit complex (in lieu of brewer's yeast)
I am flying along and so grateful to be juice feasting on this glorious Spring Equinox. I am using tools form the Law of Attraction teachings to keep me focused on what I want, and that is a nice loooooooong juice feast. I love what David Rain says…
