Your 3-5 most trusted feasting supplements

Hello juice feasters!

I have been so incredibly inspired by the juice feasting warriors who are paving the way. I attempted to begin my own 92 day feast on June 1st, but made it only 8 days through. I am a recent resident and worker on a small organic farm and this situation requires some physical demands of me on a daily basis. I found that by the third day my energy was very low and continued to get lower and lower until I decided to eat some food on day 9. I was having close to a gallon of juice a day, but I haven't invested in any of the supplements. I feel that perhaps using some supplements might be key to helping make the feast a more doable experience for me. I understand that the initial phases of the feast are a time for cleansing and taking it easy. I have spoken with Simon (farmer) at length about my desire to embark on a juice feast and I have his full support. In other words, he is willing to cut me all the slack that I need in order to do this. I was hoping that those of you who have been successful with extended juice feasts would share with me what you consider the top 3-5 most important and helpful supplements to be (in order of importance if you consider them that way).

Thank you,
Audry

I'm no expert, but possibly more than supplements what you need is more juice. With a lot of physical work, I would be drinking almost twice what you are drinking.

I always get a burst of energy from 1 T of virgin coconut oil (VCO). My 3-5 top faves (ranked in order) are MSM, Vitamineral Green, spirulina, VCO, and bee pollen. I take all of them daily and love them more each day. VCO is probably the cheapest one ... check out iherb.com for bulk discounts on bee pollen.

Speaking from my personal experience, it sounds like detox to me. I had the same thing happen on an off for the first ten days or so. Fortunately, I am self employed, so I just took naps when I needed :)

As the juicefeast progressed - and most notably when it came time to start coffee enemas and thereafter - my energy level was the highest its been in years, good, clear, positive energy too. Playing around with amounts of juice and frequency of drinking them helped stabilize energy "lulls"also. Generally increasing frequency of drinking helped me, not increasing the overall amount ( I am 5'10" and usually drank 4 quarts max)

I am also very physically active - I work as a gardener (and garden after work at home) and as a family we choose to be car-free so I ride my bike or walk everywhere.

I just completed my 99 days last Saturday and I hardly did any supplements. I took some things when I felt intuitively that I needed to, so I think it would be different for you. My favorites were E3 Live, coconut oil, flax DHA oil, and wild edibles like nettles, lambsquarters, borage, dandelion and thimbleberry leaves (juiced of course ;)

Mark, Allison, Kyra and Constanze, thank you for sharing with me. That helped. It makes me think that more than anything else, perhaps I just need to be tough and get over some kind of initial low energy hump then. I would like to get some supplements still. I'd really like to get E3Live because I've had it several times and it made me feel great. Its just so expensive. I have Virgin coconut oil, but I haven't taken any yet while feasting. Bee pollen gives me bursts of energy, but I've gotten carried away with it in the past. MSM doesn't feel like a must for me as much as some of the "energizing" supplements do. Maybe I am wrong about that. I am also drawn to Spirulina, Vitamineral green, hemp oil and/or maca. Thats just a lot of supplements, thats all. But I feel ready to give this another shot, so here goes....
