I am preparing over the weekend purchasing all fresh produce etc.
I'm so "IN" and very excited to find support to get back on the wagon. I've been 100% RAW for 2 months (recently fell off the wagon), and very excited about going the next step into juice feasting. Please keep me informed and included. Thanks so very much. =)

Much more success with Day #2. I made a 1-gallon jug of juice to take to work and it kept me full (and peeing *LOL*) all day long. =) Ingredients listed below: (not necessarily in that order)
Carrots
Beets
Cucumbers
Spinach
Celery
Cabbage
Apples & leftover Strawberries just to take off the bitterness
But it was was mostly veggies, thanks to the wonderful suggestions of my lovely friends and supporters in this group. Very happy and pleased with my success and felt GREAT !! =)
Now, please excuse me while I go PEE again !!! *LOLOL*
Problems with time-constraints. I am currently using the Samson Juicer, which was highly recommended by many Raw and "Juicy" folks. =) But I am having problems because of the size of the hopper and the amount of juice I have to make every morning. I have to take so much time cutting and chopping the produce into such tiny small pieces to fit through the hopper and it takes FOREVER!! It took me 45 minutes this morning to make 1 gallon of juice.
Based on my research and the advice of many, juicers like the Samson and other similar ones are supposed to be the "best" way to make juice so it doesn't destroy the enzymes or cause "heating" of the juice from the high-spinning blades in other brands. But I am HIGHLY tempted to go buy something like the Jack LaLanne juicer simply because I don't have the TIME every morning before work to make my juices. I'm willing to risk a few dead enzymes and fast-spinning blade(s) just to save TIME. I desperately need any advice and suggestions. Thanks so much.
I had once bought one of those expensive juicers - I think it was the green star. But, I tell you I now have the jack LaLanne & I love it. Less than $100 at costco. I gave away the gren star.
I have both an Omega juicer, which is equal to a Samson, and one that is similar to the Jack LaLanne. When I'm pressed for time I use the Jack LaLanne model. It is especially good with hard veggies like celery and fruits like apples. There can be quite a bit of juice left in the pulp, so then I'll strain it through a nut milk bag to get the rest of the juice out or run it through the Omega. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it is quicker than trying to get the food down the small hopper of the Omega and you'll get quite a bit of juice from that expensive organic produce. When I have a bit more time, then I use the Omega.
You could also try the blender/nut milk bag method. That might be a little bit quicker. I've done it a couple times, and I think if you become proficient at it, it is probably the quickest way to juice and preserve the enzymes.
I figure for myself if it comes down to having to choose between using the Jack LaLanne or not being able to juice because of time constraints, I'll choose the Jack Lalanne juicer.
I know someone who did a 45 day juice feast and strictly used the Jack LaLanne typed user. She felt great and looked great.
Hi I just found this site, but I had started my green juice feast on Monday as well into the 3rd day and feeling the detox kind of tired. the first day my blood sugar was doing well for me @ about 120 all day long now I'm finding I have to take 11 units a couple times a day to keep in touch I am checking often. any way just wanted to say hi to all and am looking for other insulin dependent people that want to discuss what there going through.
I'm 55 and married growing our own veg's as much as we can living in the state of Washington.

I just started my first juice feast 14 days ago with the goal of 92 days. This is sooo hard. I have considered a modified version but Im not giving up yet. My weight has been dropping a little fast. I didn't have much to work with in the first place…
Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
